Abstract

The performance of any organization, regardless of its form (private or public, economic or non-profit), is in close connection with the degree of development of community in which it activates and the social environment in general. As part of sustainable development, the assessment of the economic impact of social responsibility, in terms of risks and opportunities, is a stage for any commitment management in the direction of taking social responsibility. To demonstrate that it is "social responsible", any company must be aware and understand the universal international principles and it must communicate regularly to the competent institutions if they have managed to integrate these principles in the taken strategies and decisions. The work is trying to capture these aspects, on the basis of the indicators and the guidelines G4, making a comparative study in Romania and other member countries of the EU.
