Abstract

The research of the proposed topic aims to demonstrate the existence of civil legal liability in the case of agents with artificial intelligence, not only in human beings.
In this field there are already a number of studies of scientists, and they have resulted not only in theoretical concepts, but also in actual results, namely: robots. European legislation has also established rules that take into account the legal relationship of robots with humans.
The methods we understand to use are: the quantitative one (opinion poll), the logical method, the sociological method, the comparative method.
The conclusions of the article capture the importance of recognizing robots as subjects of civil law, corresponding to their degree of understanding and perception of reality, but also of assuming the consequences of their deed.
This analysis can be useful: university professors, researchers in the field, doctrinaires, students, lawyers. The enumeration is not a limiting one, the research being relevant for all those interested in this topic.
The novelty of the study consists in formulating some ideas based on the existing legislation, but also on the opinion poll of some professionals in the field. The research will highlight that robots are also responsible for their own deed, bringing in this regard both arguments and counter-arguments.
