The Benefits of Data Extraction from Knowledge in the Educational Field

Abstract
The exponential development of technology, the cost of IT equipment and the need for online education for about a year (March 2020 - April 2021) have led to a rapid growth of data stored in educational databases. Data mining techniques and methods allow the extraction of knowledge from data which identify patterns that improve the quality of the educational act. This can be a great advantage in optimizing learning.
After a year of online education, we designed and applied to teachers, students and parents a questionnaire aimed to collect data on the experiences of the three factors involved in the educational process during the mentioned period. We considered various aspects, starting from the perception on the efficiency of online education to the impact on diminishing human interaction.
In this paper we aim to present ways and solutions through which the extraction of data from educational knowledge can contribute to improving learning, as well as in making the most appropriate decisions in the education system.
