Abstract:

If in ancient times teachers were openers of paths to the absolute truth and mastery of full knowledge, seen as undisputed and uncontradicted persons, today, teachers represent the link between students and their educational perfection, acting as guides in the journey of learning and enabling the students to achieve the best of themselves.

Teaching in the digital era of our times is achieved through a relatively sudden transition from pen and chalk to gamification, learning applications, teaching platforms or the use of artificial intelligence in education. What makes the ordinary student put forth the learning effort in a distinct way, and the teacher to identify and use the means of engaging him in a genuine educational relationship. And digital education, in addition to the well-known advantages, also brings a need for the involvement of fun and joy in the entire process, which are often missing from the teaching process.

This paper will consider how the teacher of the future combines classic learning tools with aspects of counseling and psychology, but also with anticipating the needs of the student, anticipating the evolution in education and meeting them through exciting lessons, critical thinking exercises and collaborative learning.
