Abstract

Internal institutional communication in the educational institution is based on a coherent set of organizational values that define the principles and behaviors desired in any modern institution, public or private. The value that defines the general principle of internal institutional communication is, fundamentally, transparency, a value that ensures an organizational climate based on trust, openness and mutual accountability. Shaped by criteria specific to organizational communication, transparency is shaped by indicators and descriptors of the following criteria: clarity of information transmitted between hierarchical levels, equal access to relevant information for all institutional actors, honesty in decision-making processes, openness in reporting activities and ethical responsibility in formulating and conveying messages. Transparency generates a favourable framework for the affirmation of other values of institutional communication, such as: trust among members of the organization, mutual respect, collective responsibility, fairness in internal dialogue and institutional loyalty, each of these values being dimensioned and applicable from the principles of internal communication in the educational institution. In relation to the values analyzed, internal communication in educational institutions is governed, as a matter of priority, by the principle of communicative transparency, which constitutes the reference framework for institutional interactions.
