Abstract

Generation Alpha, born between 2010-2024, represents the first generation raised entirely in the 21st century and is estimated to reach nearly 2 billion individuals globally. These are "digital ninjas" who have access to tablets before age 6 (43%) and smartphones by age 10 (58%), being exponentially more technologically advanced than previous generations. Educational systems face major challenges in adapting to the needs of this generation, including reduced opportunities for socio-emotional development and the necessity of balancing digital and traditional learning. Although they are mature beyond their years and aware of mental health from ages 8-10, they require personalized educational approaches that combine advanced technology with the development of social and emotional skills. The future of education depends on institutions' ability to develop innovative strategies that respond to the unique characteristics of this hyperconnected generation and prepare them for a world in continuous digital transformation.
