The sustainability could be achieved from a global perspective, where social, economic and environmental issues are all of them key factors for getting the goal. In this paper we focus on the importance of social sustainability and, as a consequence, the importance of avoiding the risk of poverty for all. Nevertheless, the economic crisis became in higher inequalities and put a lot of people at risk of poverty, even in those called “developed countries”. Through a statistical and econometric analysis, we analyzed the main factors that nowadays should be target in Europe to avoid social exclusion by means of fighting against the risk of exclusion. Particularly we conducted a regression, factorial and cluster analysis, and we conclude that the labor market is a key point for driving economic policies in order to get social sustainability.
