Abstract

This paper provides empirical evidence of the joint effects that Danube river has on riparian territories, especially economically speaking. As someone could expect to know this result for his own country, we thought that might be interesting to find out how it rules the matter comparative for all the riparian countries. Anyone could expect to be differences between countries, and their Danube zones, but what we tried to find out is for which reasons these discrepancies are, even if this river has almost the great potential along its way, for all. But the way it is used this comparative advantage by each country is very interesting.

The main method used in our attempt is an observation going to a case-study revealed by quantitative method, illustrated by a statistic-mathematical instrument, which will be accompanied by graphs methods, in sustaining the results. In order to analyze the data and make the graphs we use the free software R Studio, which is the source for quantitative data analysis and also through the "comtradr" library, which allows us to access the data from the database of the United Nations Organization. This study could be useful both for academic purposes: for research and as study-case for students, and also for the business medium.
