Abstract
The theory of intermediality presupposes study of interaction of different types of art in the text of an artistic work. The article deals with the formation of theoretical understanding of the peculiarities of methodology of intermedial analysis as a part of comparative literary criticism. The terminology, characteristics of literary and art connections from antiquity to postmodern, types of interactionism are considered.
