Abstract

However, some theatrical traditions, or at least the germs of such traditions have been existed. The most optimistic persons are of the opinion that, the certain theatrical traditions, or at least the germs of such traditions have been existed in Cahul. It is well known that from the middle of nineteenth century to the eve of the First World War, the theatrical teams led by masters of  Romanian scene, especially from Galati have evolved at Cahul, Ismail, Reni and other towns between Danube, Prut and Nistru. Despite the fact that many spectators were not familiar with the theatrical culture, the communication with guest actors was a memorable one for Cahul inhabitants at another time. Naturally, the man of the arts, the notorious Romanian actor, State Dragomir, referred to the spiritual life of Ismail and Cahul cities of the early twentieth century in his travel memoirs "From Bessarabia".
