Long-Term Determination of Marine Wave Parameters Variability in Constanţa Port Area

Abstract
A considerable variability of atmospheric circulation regime with high degree of instability of winds parameters, characterizes the Black Sea coast area. The wave regime is associated with the wind regime. The analysis of multiannual data sets on marine hydrodynamic parameters can provide an overview of recurrence periods for storm with high degree of impact on the port structures. In this paper, some results regarding the establishment of recurrence periods of critical hydrodynamic conditions, necessary in the design activities of port constructions will be presented.
