Abstract

Marine and coastal activities are often closely interlinked. Therefore, it is important to consider the interactions between land and sea in Maritime Spatial Planning, in order to integrate the maritime dimension of certain coastal activities, to quantify as much as possible their impact. The goal is to obtain an integrated and strategic overview about al maritime activities in their interactions. Regarding the EU Directive 2014/89/ establishing a framework for maritime spatial planning, as well as the obligation of Romania, as a member state, to harmonize the national legislation with the mandatory legislation of the European Union, the EU directive was fully transposed by the Government Ordinance no. 18/2016 on the maritime space planning, approved by the Law no. 88/2017. To implement this legislative framework, certain norms are needed. Some results of these approaches will be presented in this paper.
