Abstract

In the age of climate change and the upward trend of the transition to green energy, to a green world and a European Union, an important source of renewable energy can be green hydrogen. Its classification among renewable energy sources is due to its production by electrolysis of water using electricity from renewable sources and no greenhouse gases are emitted during production. There are incompatibilities between the production of this type of green hydrogen, the high costs, the infrastructure needed for its transport and storage, which is why it currently has a very small contribution to the global green energy supply. The European Union is the world leader in climate research, development and innovation, focusing on an economy increasingly based on renewable sources and their ability to use them as much as possible in as many countries as possible.
