Abstract
In the conditions of socio-economic reforming, continuous renewal and development of the education system under the influence of scientific, technological and humanitarian progress, competition in the labor market and educational services, the main task of the educational institutions of the XXI century is the training of competitive professionals, with creative thinking, capable of adapting and successfully working in the world, which is dynamically developing. One of the most important requirements of the modern stage of development of vocational education is the preparation of students for research activities.
The article outlines the main aspects of studying the research activity of students. The problem of formation of research activity and factors influencing its effective introduction into the educational process are determined. The purpose and tasks of research activity are found out. The structural components of this activity of students are analyzed.
