Fantasy as an Intermedial Genre
Last modified: 2019-06-17
Abstract
This article attempts to justify the fantasy genre as synthetic and intermediary. This is evidenced by the influence of the literary tradition on him and the mass distribution of literary fantasy in various fields of art. The globalization of fantasy is explained by the aesthetics of postmodernism and the computerization of society. Since the fantasy texts present a specific and general picture of contemporary culture, the genre directly affects the development of society, instilling ideals and norms of the fantastic in readership, forming a special world perception and ability to present the unreal like real. This approach allows the reader to become a co-creator of modern myth.
