The history of Bessarabia in the French-Language Texts of the Swiss Colonists

Abstract
The heritage of French-speaking Bessarabians is just beginning to be involved in active scientific circulation, so the very fact of turning to these sources determines the relevance of the issue raised in the study.
Despite the existing body of research on French-speaking Swiss colonists in general, their literary, epistolary and autobiographical heritage today requires a more thorough and comprehensive study.
At the present stage of development of the Ukrainian polyethnic state, the study of the vision of Bessarabian history by its Swiss inhabitants is a conditio sine qua non the holistic mosaic of Bessarabian identity.
