Abstract

The article deals with the problems of implementation of national language politics of Ukraine since its independence and until today on the analysis of the dynamics of language, ethnolinguistic and linguistic policy situation in the territory between the Dniester and the Danube rivers during this period and on the analysis of the functioning of the Ukrainian language in various fields (official business, education, media etc.) and in various forms (dialectal and literary).

It is noted that the language situation in the territory between the Dniester and the Danube rivers of Ukraine was and remains complex and territorially heterogeneous. The languages, which are spread here such as Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, Gagauz, Albanian, Gypsy and etc. are predominantly represented by different dialects, which have varying degrees of support from relevant or related literary standards. These idioms function mainly in the speech of polylinguals, which are the majority of the inhabitants of this area, but mostly in situations of intra-ethnic communication.
