Abstract

The institution of adoption has many administrative and legal values at both  national and European level, being an institution in continuous development and improvement. Given that the main subject of the adoption procedure is the child, all its effects are inextricably linked to the rights of the child, as they are regulated at national and European level. That is why it is recommended that all those who are interested in the legal procedure to be followed for adoption, know all the rights and obligations that arise with accessing this institution or that are closely related to it, the protection of the rights of the child being in fact the main legal responsibility for the parents, whether natural or adoptive.
