Abstract
The article deals with the symbolist interpretation of works by Russian classics, first of all, the Blok`s reception of personality of Russian playwright and his comedy "Woe from Wit". The paper traced the main stages of the relationship Russian symbolist poet to A.S. Griboyedov and noted that attention to the history of life, the tragic end of the playwright, to his works was typical for the A. Blok throughout his career.
