The imperatives of education in higher education in the era of deglobalization

Abstract
Is the world heading towards deglobalization, a process that will increase costs, prices of goods and services but will also cause a reversal of professionalization routes? A key indicator of globalization, the share of trade in world GDP, peaked in 2008 at the start of the great global financial crisis. If we add the effects of the pandemic plus the large-scale military conflicts unfolding before our eyes, then we are entitled to ask ourselves what challenges tertiary education will embrace and, above all, what perspectives we can see in the age of digitization.
