Abstract

The content of the education is objectified in the school documents, which have the role of standardizing and giving the educational process a planned and unitary character. According to the content of the educational object established by the school curriculum, the essential information that makes up the content of each lesson is presented and explained in the manual. Thus, the school manual is the book that contains a volume of knowledge processed and structured didactically with the aim of being thoroughly understood and acquired by the students. A textbook is required to be designed and produced in such a way that it constitutes a learning and self-instruction model for students.

Due to the functions it fulfills, the school textbook becomes a real workbook for students; through the knowledge provided, through the exercises indicated, through the questions addressed and the guidance for applications, it offers those directly addressed possibilities to acquire new information, to self-control and to carry out the appropriate practical activities by which the cycle of the learning process ends.
