The Social and Moral Values Which We Live
Last modified: 2016-04-01
Abstract
In our approach we start from the hypothesis that what we do is determined by our values and beliefs. Values, as objects of our preferences and choices guide our attitudes and behaviors. They are assumed and lived, defended and achieved by each of us, consciously or not. Often, people are troubled by questions such as: How important is the truth? It is better to trust people? Is the strength of mind just a myth? What is good? Is there any justice? What to do with my freedom? What is responsibility? How far it spreads? Is it good to be tolerant? What is the meaning of my life? The answers to these questions can highlight attitudes, beliefs, behaviors always supervised by social and moral values, on value judgments and their communication. These values represent the fundament of our ideals and our assessments, our patterns of life and action being undertaken and lived, defended and promoted.
