Abstract

It’s pretty hard to estimate the accession benefits and costs. The estimation of the accession costs is more qualitative than quantitative and we can distinguish several categories of costs: investment costs, modernization costs, costs related to recruiting and professional training, costs related to the unemployment and other social costs which are related to the integration process.

For Romania, ten years in the European Union means ten years of growth, development and democratic consolidation.
