Abstract

In this presentation we will try  to analyze the references to the EU importance,  usefulness and future from the political discourses of the politicians of the “front line” in the Member States (heads of state, prime ministers, members of government, etc.) that are presented by media or are available as online sources.  It has become possible to distinguish between the perception of the EU from the beginning of the pandemic period and that of its  new phase  and the perception from different countries along Europe. Echoes of the EU representatives’ speeches and some distinct national options are melted down with the aim of saving our lives as they were before the Covid 19 pandemic. In the same time, the idea of a changing political reality that imposes a stronger national state becomes more often heard, as well as when a new rapport of the individual to the society is emerging.
