Exploring the influencer marketing business. Case study on The Blonde Salad

Abstract

This article explores the Influencer Marketing phenomenon with a case study which highlights its development stages from its launch as a personal hobby to a fully recognized business. The case study is centered on Chiara Ferragni, the owner of The Blonde Salad website, who is a well-known influencer in Italy and the rest of the world. The aim of the case study is to facilitate a comparison with influencer marketing activities in Romania, where I find a similar. The main findings consist of the differences between Italy and Romania in terms of laws and regulations on the influencer marketing business with a focus on the rights and obligations of influencers.
