Abstract

Human resources are among the most important resources of society, both from an economic and a social perspective. The size and structure of the population directly influence the labor supply, the potential for innovation, the dynamics of consumption, and the sustainability of social protection systems. A sufficiently large and age-balanced population ensures the efficient functioning of the labor market, the financing of public budgets, and the maintenance of social cohesion. At the same time, the population supports the life of communities, the reproduction of human capital, and the transmission of cultural values between generations. Through the reforms launched during the period 2020–2026 by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with development partners, the focus in education has shifted in order to increase quality and, respectively, the evaluation of the results of beneficiaries of educational services.
