The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern workplaces is transforming how work is organized, managed, and experienced, with profound implications for Work-Life Balance. This study examines the interplay between AI-driven management systems, generational differences, and employee well-being in Romania, focusing particularly on Generation Z. Using a survey replicated from international studies, 222 respondents from four active generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z) were analyzed to capture their perceptions of AI, productivity, flexibility, and personal fulfillment. The findings reveal significant generational disparities in attitudes toward algorithmic management, remote monitoring, and digital work expectations. Younger generations, especially Generation Z, demonstrate high adaptability to AI technologies but express heightened concerns about digital fatigue and work-life boundaries. The study highlights the need for human-centered AI strategies, regulatory frameworks promoting transparency and accountability, and organizational practices that prioritize well-being alongside efficiency. By exploring both current experiences and future expectations, the research provides actionable insights for policymakers and organizations aiming to balance technological innovation with sustainable Work-Life Balance across generations.
