Abstract

Contemporary society is torn by numerous conflicts based on a series of the most unusual motivations. Within the communities but also between the communities, although tolerance and respect towards others should prevail, we are witnessing a recrudescence of the ethnic and religious factor in the speeches of political leaders and not only that. Democracy and education, good practices and religion promote the acceptance of those who are somewhat different, but the adversities and intensity with which certain states act on the international political scene is worrying, especially when appeal is made to the ethnic and religious argument.
