The Environmental and Sustainability Management Accounting Network (EMAN) in association with Danubius University of Galati are pleased to announce the 22^nd EMAN conference on Social responsibility and sustainability accounting – Key corporate performance drivers and measures.

In 2018 the EMAN conference will take place in Galati, Romania from June 21^st to June 22^nd. The city of Galati is situated on the banks of Danube River, close to the Danube Delta in the South-Eastern part of Romania.

The conference deals with social responsibility and sustainability accounting with a focus on the performance indicators, drivers and measures.

Keynote Speakers

The abstracts (250-300 words) will be peer reviewed.

The deadline for abstracts submission is  31st March 2018.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by 12th April.

Conference presentations are based on submitted and accepted abstracts.

This conference is linked to special issues of the following journals: Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal (AAAJ), Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal (SAMPJ), EuroEconomica or The Journal of Accounting and Management.

Information on the submission of full papers to these special issues can be found on the respective journal websites and will be communicated at the conference.

 

 

Author Guidelines

ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

All papers must be submitted electronically, by clicking the “Step one of the submission process” button on the bottom of the Call for papers page.

Authors should submit an original abstract in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, using the conference site’s online submission procedure.

Special issues related to the 2018 EMAN  conference

Please provide all information on full papers and special issues under this title to evade confusion with the conference participation and presentation.

1. Preliminary Abstract submission (for review and acceptance in the conference)

A preliminary abstract needs to be reviewed by our reviewers before being accepted at EMAN 2018.

A blind peer-review method will be used. To facilitate that, the authors are kindly requested to produce and provide the abstract WITHOUT any reference to any of the authors. This means that is necessary to remove the authors’ personal details and any reference that may disclose the authors’ identity. Only DOC/DOCX file format is accepted.

The online submission procedure automatically sends an acknowledgement, by e-mail, to the contact author. The authors are required to follow the reviews in order to improve their abstracts.

2. Registration of participation

After the notification of acceptance received by e-mail authors are kindly asked to register to attend the conference, by pressing the “Register” button that can be found at the bottom of the Registration page. Please do not forget to send us by email the proof of your payment, at danarobu@unvi-danubius.ro or feliciabalanescu@univ-danubius.ro.

IMPORTANT

Presentations should not exceed 12 minutes. Please prepare your slides to not exceed this time. 

On the day of your presentation, please report to your assigned room 10 or 15 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin.  Introduce yourself to the Chairman of the section your paper belongs to, and check that any audio-visual equipment you need to use is setup and working properly. Please load your presentation onto the hard drive so that the transition between presentations is smooth.
