The conference provides a forum for academic dialogue on the linguistic, methodological, and intercultural dimensions of teaching Romanian as a foreign language (RFL), with a particular focus on the integration of international students in Romanian universities.

The Faculty of Smart Education and Innovative Teacher Training, Danubius International University, is pleased to announce the First Edition of the International Conference Romanian as a Foreign Language: Linguistic and Intercultural Perspectives.

This event brings together researchers, academics, RFL lecturers, international students, linguists and specialists interested in:

  • linguistic foundations of teaching Romanian as a foreign language;
  • intercultural education;
  • integration of international students in the Romanian academic context;

All accepted papers will be published in the Didactica Danubiensis, under the ISSN reference 2821-4374.

Notification of acceptance: 10th January, 2026

Final paper Submission for the journal: 30th January, 2026
