The Romanian-American University is a private university in Bucharest, Romania, which offers courses and degrees in English. It was founded in 1991.The initiative for setting up the University belonged to Ph.D. Ion Smedescu, who is the founder and Rector of the University, active member of the American Academy of Sciences in New York, President of the Romanian-American Foundation for the Promotion of the Education and Culture, in the activities of which the University is integrated.Romanian-American University is aimed at promoting the educational values of American higher education and the rich romanian traditional education.
Conceived as an alternative and complementary form to the public high education, the University has 6 faculties in its structure, among which 5 economical ones and a juridical one, that is: the Faculty of Internal and International Commercial and Financial Banking Relations, Faculty of Management-Marketing, Faculty of Internal and International Economy of Tourism, Faculty of Managerial IT, Faculty of Studies of the European Economic Integration, Law School.
GALATI, city in eastern Romania, capital of Galati County, and a port on the Danube River was for the first time documentary attested in 1445 (in an official document signed by Stefan Voda) but with an existence before this date and with an important role in the regional commerce after 1484. The “Danubius” University of Galati, Romania is a non-profit institution of higher education, a juridical person of private law and public utility, part of the National Education System, established by the Law no. 409/2002, which functions according to the Romanian Constitution, the law on education, the status of the teaching staff and its own Carta approved by the University Senate. This institution, founded in 1992, assumes the role of enriching the values of the Romanian culture and civilization, of supporting the assertion of national identity and spirituality, in order to develop our society as a democratic and social state of law. “Danubius” university ensures the transparency of graduated studies for Romanian and foreign employers;
