Abstract
The article examines the pedagogical nature of the concept of "awareness of European identity" in relation to age specifics junior student. The basic directions of local lore and educational work of the teachers of the south of Odessa region, the content of which is the historical and geographical uniqueness of the Ukrainian Danube region, and effective form of teacher advocates the inclusion of students in local research.
