Erasmus Exchange Programme - a Cultural Bridge between Romania and the Countries of the Danube River Basin

Abstract
The relationships between Romania and its neighbouring countries are, nowadays, reinforced by the cultural connections established through the Erasmus exchange programme. This new programme combines all the EU's current schemes for education, training, youth and sport and enables students, academic and non-academic staff to participate in joint research projects and mobilities for educational purposes. In this context, the present paper focuses on the Romanian students who have been enrolled in the Erasmus exchange programme and have benefited from an academic mobility of several months in the countries of the Danube River Basin.
