Linguistic Patterns about Danube and their Role in Building Community

Abstract
“The Danube Region” is not only to be seen as an economic / political region as long as this concept has a strong impact on various aspects of societal challenges. The linguistic aspect also worth considering, as long as the countries of the Danube River Basin come to share the same perspective on verbal contexts, reflecting either positive or negative aspects, when referring to Danube. Therefore, we can speak about a linguistic community, already consolidated over time, since similar linguistic patterns are to be traced along the Danube. Our aim here is to identify phrases/idiomatic expressions linked to Danube and fixed in the collective mentality, proving the existence of this linguistic community.
