Clerics Statement as a Source on the History of the Churches of the Ukrainian Danube Beginning of the 19th Century

Abstract
Based on the materials of the “The Izmail Archives” Municipal Institution, the article established that the сlerics statement, which were compiled annually at each Orthodox Church, provide the necessary information on studying the history of churches of the Ukrainian Danube at the beginning of the 19th century. The clerics statement contained important information about when and by whom the church was built; the number of thrones and in honor of which saints they are consecrated; size of church land; the distance of the church from the spiritual consistory; number of parishioners. The illuminated question of the representativeness of the type of document being studied will facilitate the search for the necessary information for researchers.
