Proper Name in the Multicultural Space of Izmail

Abstract
The basic principles of the creation and functioning of proper names in a multicultural urban space are considered in the article. The analysis of onymic vocabulary is carried out in order to identify typological similarities and differences in the processes of nomination of urban objects. The formation of onomastic space is shown on the example of Izmail urbanonyms, in which the cultures of the peoples inhabiting the South of Odessa region are intertwoven.
