Abstract
Danube river crosses Europe from west to the east part, and thus it is very interesting to study what about the ports alongside this water. In fact, these ports are the alive elements of the river, that links the people and their lifes. That is why the objective of this study is focused on the economic and social problems of the ports on the Danube river. The extant literature in this area underlines either economic or social, technical or other aspects, but this paper tries to see some of these in their connection, together with their impact on peoples” lives. The approach used was mainly the observation, combined with survey, and the results might be interesting not only for the researchers or academics, but also for the people interested in this matter, or practicians, and for the technicians as well. So, this might be the added value of this study.
