Abstract

In the field of education, large amounts of data are collected nowadays, (about students, teachers, learning methods, learning environments, etc.), especially since the use of technology has increased exponentially in the teaching-learning-assessment process, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this context, questions arose about the effectiveness of online education for all actors involved. The continuous training of teachers in the field of using educational resources for online teaching is the first step towards identifying the factors that can contribute to the development of the educational act in the best conditions.

Thus, between March and April 2020, we conducted a study on the development of online learning in the pre-university education system in Romania. We used as research tools 3 questionnaires that I applied online to a sample of 2822 respondents (teachers, students and parents).

With the help of data extraction techniques, valuable knowledge can be extracted from raw data to lead to the improvement of the educational act in order to increase the learning performance.

In this paper we describe the research methodology, we present the results of this study and possible solutions for optimizing online education.
