Interethnic and Interreligious Relations in the Discourse of French-Speaking Swiss Colonists in Bessarabia

Abstract
A thorough study of the discourse of the French-speaking colonists of Bessarabia in the general context of the era is one of the promising lines of research into the linguistic and cultural situation in Bessarabia.
The discourse of representatives of this Swiss colony of Bessarabia reflects convincing examples of fruitful intercultural communication, effective interethnic and interfaith contacts, which in modern conditions of globalization acquire additional relevance.
In order to maintain diverse and multi-level contacts and forms of communication, the French-speaking colonists actively mastered the local languages, features and norms of other cultures, forms of behavior, psychology, and the history of their Bessarabian neighbors. However, the Swiss Bessarabians managed not to lose their national identity, but to effectively combine two trends in intercultural communication - the desire to adopt the heritage of foreign cultures and preserve their own cultural values.
