The Permanencies of the Danube

Abstract
The Danube, which borders us and from which the name of our university comes, is not just any river. It has a history that was shaped until it became a European identity axis. Our approach aims at identifying and semanticizing this permanence (geographical, historical, cultural, and political) that gives the river its maximum importance at the European level. Beyond all this, the Danube has become a forma mentis of the Romanian citizen, with a sacredness that is felt even when we ignore it.
