Preventing the Exercise of Electoral Rights

Abstract
In the framework of the paper, we have carried out a brief examination of the crime of preventing the exercise of electoral rights, a crime that is part of the group of electoral crimes. We first examined the provisions by which this incrimination was regulated in the special laws with criminal provisions adopted after the change of the political regime in Romania, in a comparative examination with the current regulation. We also proceeded to examine the pre-existing conditions and the constitutive content of this crime, considering the current regulation. The work can be used by practitioners in the field of criminal law, and it can also be useful to master's students of specialized faculties in the country. This paper is part of a criminal law course to be published at a prestigious publishing house in the country.
