Abstract
The interpretative approach regards an exemplification in words and statements of what is beyond the geographical reality of the river, the most emblematic of Europe. Being a border between the empires, the ones of privileged communication and identity axis, the Danube assumes a definite European vocation that they recognize and argue in different areas of science and art, able to outline a specific metaphysics. Shaping it into a coherent discourse, it is useful in the articulation of europeity philosophy, a starting point for building a community identity.
